Swaroop, a passionate nature photographer based in Kolkata, India, finds endless inspiration in the vibrant landscapes and wildlife of his homeland. His photographic journey began in 2008 with a transformative visit to Corbett National Park, where he first picked up a camera and discovered his true calling.

 

Since then, Swaroop has traversed countless locations across India, capturing the beauty of the natural world through his lens. For him, photography is not merely a play of light and shadows but a profound medium for conveying his innermost thoughts and emotions.

 

Fascinated by nature and wildlife from a young age, Swaroop now dedicates himself to creating visual narratives that connect people with the environment. He firmly believes that photography has the power to raise awareness about the importance of conserving our natural heritage.

 

As a Canon India Explorer, Swaroop conducts tours and mentors workshops in association with Canon, sharing his expertise and passion with aspiring photographers. His stunning images have graced numerous international and national publications, earning him several prestigious awards and accolades. Among these honors is a distinguished national award from the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, recognizing his exceptional contributions to the art of photography.
