Swaroop is a nature photographer based in Kolkata, India. His love for the art of photography has taken him to numerous locations across the country. To him photography is not just a language of light but a medium of expressing his thoughts and emotions as well.
Nature and wildlife intrigued him since childhood and a visit to Corbett National Park in 2008 metamorphosed it into his life's greatest passion. This was when he picked up the camera and took his first step in this wonderful journey, a journey that has been a continuous learning experience. He emphasises in weaving visual stories that can help bridge the gap between nature and people, and believes that this form of visual art has the power to make the viewers more conscious about the importance of protecting our natural treasures.
Many of his works have been featured in various international and national media. He has also received several prestigious awards and recognitions during this journey, which includes a national award from the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India.
