Nestled in the heart of the Eastern Himalayas, Singalila National Park is one of the most picturesque and pristine wildernesses in India. The tour offers a unique opportunity to photograph the elusive Red Panda in its natural habitat, along with a wealth of other wildlife and breathtaking landscapes. With expert naturalists and trackers by your side, you will immerse yourself in the beauty of Singalila, capturing unforgettable moments of wildlife and nature. Wake up to misty mornings, trek through serene forests, and witness awe-inspiring views of the majestic Kanchenjunga peak as you embark on this extraordinary photographic journey.

Day 1: Arrival and Journey into the Himalayas

  • Arrival: Morning arrival at Bagdogra Airport, where you will be warmly greeted by our team. From here, the adventure begins with a scenic drive to the Himalayan village of Tumling/Jaubari (approximately 4 hours).

  • En Route: As we ascend, soak in the stunning views of winding roads, verdant valleys, and distant mountain peaks. A quick stop for lunch en route will recharge you for the rest of the day.

  • Afternoon Field Activity: Upon reaching the lodge, you will have time to settle in before venturing into the forest for your first field activity. Keep your camera ready, as the area is alive with birds and other wildlife.

  • Evening: Dinner and overnight stay in a cozy Himalayan lodge surrounded by nature. (L & D)

Day 2 & 3: Red Panda Tracking and Wildlife Exploration

  • Morning: After breakfast, your day begins as our expert trackers head out early to scout for Red Pandas. Once a Red Panda is located, guests will be led to the spot, either by foot or in a 4x4 vehicle, depending on accessibility. The lush forests offer opportunities not just to photograph Red Pandas, but also to observe their natural behavior.

  • Red Panda Tracking: Accompany the naturalist and engage in the tracking process, walking through dense forests and serene trails. The excitement of finding Red Pandas in the wild is an unforgettable experience.

  • Bird Watching: For bird enthusiasts, Singalila’s forests are home to exotic species like the Blood Pheasant, Satyr Tragopan, and more. Spend time bird watching while the trackers search for Red Pandas.

  • Lunch: Depending on the activity schedule, enjoy a picnic lunch amidst nature or return to the lodge for a hearty meal.

  • Evening: Wind down the day with storytelling sessions about wildlife conservation, followed by a delicious dinner. (B, L & D)

Day 4: Diverse Wildlife and Scenic Vistas

  • Morning: The trackers will continue their search for Red Pandas and other species. Each day offers new opportunities for sightings, as you explore different trails on both the Indian and Nepal sides of Singalila.

  • Exploring Tumling: Along with wildlife photography, you will also have the chance to witness the famous Sleeping Buddha formation – a magnificent view of Kanchenjunga and surrounding peaks, visible from Tumling.

  • Cultural Experience: Experience the serenity of the Himalayan village life, interact with locals, and capture their vibrant culture through your lens.

  • Evening: After a day full of exploration, relax with a warm meal and unwind in the comfort of your lodge. (B, L & D)
